Week 0, Thursday

[It's a kitchen! What kitchen? One far enough away from the meeting.

Rin is still confused when they get there though.]

What am I even cooking? It's not dinnertime, right?

[Allen Walker would totally break into a random house's kitchen just to get him somewhere away from others, yep. probably maintained his hand being on his shoulder the whole while. for reasons.

though he lifts his hand once they're alone.]

That was just a polite way to excuse us without causing a scene.

Week 0, Saturday

[Rin is blowing off steam by wandering around the city. Where can Allen be found? Rin's definitely going to say hi when he sees him.]

[Allen is hitting up the beach if only because he hasn't been there yet. staying closer to the city, but sitting on the sand and watching the ocean quietly.]

Week 1, Wednesday

If Allen is outside at any point in the evening, he'll hear a lot of cursing coming from the general direction of the 'message in a bottle to the NPCs' area. And if he chooses to investigate, he'll find Rin there, angrily scribbling out something on a piece of paper before stopping and cursing again as he crumples the paper up into a ball and tosses it away. There's a small pile of crumpled paper gathering nearby too, with at least ten other paper balls in it.

He is now grabbing another piece of paper and starting a new letter while mumbling under his breath. Nearby, Rinkou is in wolverine form and is hissing.]

[Allen hesitates before approaching. Rowan's perched on his shoulder again, and he has a hand up to pat her head as she fluffs up.]

Rin? You probably shouldn't leave these laying around...?

Week 1, Saturday, post-Trial

[Allen is Sir Keeping Himself Busy and thus is working on washing his clothes from home while wearing the stolen over-sized clothes he had from the other city. Rowan's in her canine form again, laying down near him and clearly keeping guard.]

[Hilariously Rin would normally be cooking to deal with his anger problems, but there's no real food to cook. He's not going to go Chef Ramsey on a can of corn.

So he's hungry and grumpy and eventually hears noises from the laundry room during his wanderings so he'll peek his head in to see what's going on.]

...Allen?

Week 2, Monday

[There are! Clothes!!! But they're all super-fancy compared to what Rin is used to, and he has no idea what he's doing. So instead he's going to go looking for someone else to talk to about the clothes, because complaining seems right.]

Oiiii, Allen! Look at these weird clothes!

[Allen's face takes on a wry look because he, in fact, finally found clothes he feels comfortable in!]

What "weird"? This is the style where I'm from.

Week 2, post-trial

[He's definitely tracking down Allen after that trial! Because he has something important to say:]

and Allen looks a bit caught off-guard and surprised.]

Oh. Yes, of course. No one should be ridiculed for things like that, and especially not people who are only trying to help. Mr. van Zieks went too far.

Week 3, Monday morning

But anyway, Rin is still asleep! He is normally sleeping awkwardly to accommodate a roommate, but this week he's more inclined to bedninja. Which means that he currently is tucked up against Allen, an arm thrown over the other boy, with his tail curling lazily around one of Allen's legs.

He seems at peace though. Do you dare wake him?]

[i'm so sorry, allen walker is the least cushioning person due to having 0% bodyfat but at least he seems pretty chill with sleeping through sudden cuddles?

Week 3, Friday, post-headcount

[it is time to ensure Okumura Rin takes a goddamn nap!

or at the very least, stay horizontal for five minutes.

while Allen's busy making sure Rin gets settled, Rowan's in her canine form and worriedly circling Rinkou.]

[He needs a nap so bad. In fact, he's barely kicking his shoes off before flopping face-first into the bed and pulling the blankets over his head. He doesn't fall asleep ofc but he is making his stance known: now is a time for hiding under blankets.

Rinkou, meanwhile, is in wolverine form and is hissing at every shadow that moves. It's a defensive hiss, one that betrays the fear and reluctance to reach out that Rin also feels right now. Rowan doesn't get any hisses though, instead she gets a low whine.]

Week 3, post-Trial, JAIL

[it'll probably be sometime later when Allen finally comes to the jail. he's a lot calmer than he was at the end of the trial, at least?

but judging by how Rowan is definitely on guard, up until she's darting toward whatever bars or cell Rin and Rinkou's behind, there's probably still a lot of Feelings going on.]

[The FEELINGS

Rinkou immediately goes up to the bars to nose at Rowan when she comes near. Sad wolverine is sad. Rin likewise will move from his spot near the window to come over to the bars to see Allen.]

Hey. Sorry, I guess you'll have the room to yourself again.

Week 3, Sunday

[Well. There can be more cuddling now.

I'm going to say this is further into the evening after Rin has cried a lot and passed out for a few hours. Now he's just laying on his side in their bed with an unfocused gaze, lost in his own thoughts of the past.

Rinkou is the one who tries to get Allen's attention, growling a bit before hobbling over to the bed. Come help him!!!]

[Rowan just kind of follows Rinkou around, looking expectantly at Allen also.

and Allen... is a bit at a loss, but still sits himself at the edge of the bed where Rin's facing. brings up a hand to brush his hair out of his face. hates himself a little for feeling relief that it turned out this way--what a terrible thing to feel when he knows Rin's grieving terribly.]

Week 4, Monday morning

[There is a knock on Allen's door early in the morning. Hey Allen, you awake?]

[he is now??? which means he's opening the door.

... he's sporting wolfish white fluffy ears and a white fluffy tail.

he also might look like he fell out of bed again, idk. probably.]

Week 4, post-trial

[When they leave the trial, Rin is immediately grabbing for Allen's hand. They're both doing crappy today and there's no way he's letting Allen go back to his room alone.]

Your room or mine?

[Rin's roommate is dead and Allen's is going to be dead soon, so they have their pick of quiet places to be.]

Week 4, Sunday

[The execution is hard, but Rin is able to keep going this week. What happened to Nanaly is an injustice he wants to fight against, to keep from happening ever again. And to do that, he needs to stay focused and be ready.

...which means showing Allen his fire, because yes. He has two uses of it left this week and it's Sunday and he wants to show Allen his fire.

He'll go looking for Allen in the evening, long after everyone has left the execution and had time to calm down some. He'll drag Allen out to someplace far away from prying eyes, over by the edge of the island.]

Week 5, Friday

[After being separated for two days and Allen nearly dying, Rin is absolutely going to be a needy fucker and go looking for him. He at least had the patience to wait until after everyone was healed up and not-dying- excluding our youngest Nipah-chan, rest in peace Rika- before going to track him down. Take care of business, then go looking for Allen.

What's odd is that Allen is out in the snow, just sitting there. Frowning, Rin goes over to him and crouches down in front of him, trying to look Allen in the face. And if Allen doesn't seem to notice him at about 3 feet away like that, he'll wave his hand in front of Allen's face too. Hellooooo, anybody home?]

Week 5, post-trial

[Time for some more Gay Content!

Which is to say that, wherever Allen is, Rin is going to immediately go up to hug him. Partially because the trial was hard for him and partially because the trial was hard for Allen too.]

[if he said that to Allen, Allen would 100% feign ignorance and just say that resisting eating cake was the worst part. but as it is... Allen just actually puts his arms around Rin this time. he's on a more even keel than he was the other day, so. it's fine.]

Week 6, Friday

[Shit sucks, and Rin is getting real tired of the emotional drain of weekends.

So he has gotten tools of destruction, which he will present proudly to Allen.]

[meanwhile, Allen was in fact ready to settle in for the long emotional haul when suddenly there are bright things presented to him.]

Week 6, post-trial

[This is here for when Rin will be able to find Allen while running around the park, after Allen talks to YJH. He's a bit frantic and will be so relieved when he finally finds Allen.]

[Allen... is fine. it's fine. he's fine. he's just... standing at the park where he found A-Qing begging for coin the other day. Rowan sitting at his heel and giving small whines until she spots Rin and Rinkou.]

Week 7, Monday

[probably some point after the town hall, Allen can be found at the bank of the river with his shirt sleeves rolled up and seeming to try for a token washing off of some letters on his right arm. unfortunately, nothing comes off, and he looks almost unimpressed at it.

the word akuma can probably be seen near his wrist.]

Rin is going to crouch down next to Allen and try to gently take his right hand into his own hands.]

Week 7, Friday

[I am assuming nothing huge will happen that will retcon this thread, so.

Once Xie Lian is settled and not-dying, Rin is going to go looking for Allen! Rin has a red string tied around his ring finger, so now he's searching out the owner of the other part of this string. He'll peer at Allen's hands to see where the string ended up.]

[Allen might also notice a slight flutter in his chest. Though the sensation isn't strong, they're definitely able to feel each other's emotions faintly now. Have fun hiding your most obvious surface feelings now, Allen.]

which is to say, Allen has probably been running searching for Rin and his group unless Joonghyuk decided to wrangle him at some point but EITHER WAY there is a deep weariness (as if his energy had been siphoned off--lol, spectres), a would-be kind of hollow feeling (as if Dust had been siphoned off--lol, spectres) competing with the highkey distress getting whiplashed into relief???? the whiplash is about as bad as going from 19 depression to 1 depression in one turn. yes, these are all on the surface.

but anyway, the string is on his right hand's ring finger because otherwise he never would have noticed it. he's also probably still wearing his clothes that got torn and bloodied on his right side like something clawed him up a bit.]

[mayhap he would be taking Rin by the shoulders and shaking him if he weren't still hella worried?!]

Week 7, Saturday post-trial

[today was so much and the Watchers are no longer angels and now it's time to chill a little. but what's Rin up to? giving hugs to Ochako? LE GASP. Allen's feeling chill, tho.]

[Well, when he feels that chill he will definitely go looking for Allen. Wherever he may be, Rin will come up and either stand or sit next to him.]
