It's something to be concerned about, but in the moment he finds himself loving being around Allen much more than he worries about Allen. In this moment, the warm smiles and the butterflies in his stomach are back, making their presence known.]

And I guess the strings don't actually connect here, but like...the string in the stories goes off into the distance, and if you follow it you'll eventually find someone tied to the other end of it. And that person, that's your soulmate.
