That was just a polite way to excuse us without causing a scene.
You can absolutely hold someone being thoughtless against them.
But it's also fine if you don't want to.

But for what it's worth... I have a bit of personal experience with both sides. So... really, neither of you were wrong. Both hurt. Very much.
Like I said, he doesn't get it. And I'm supposed to be controlling my temper better. Dad would just lecture me if he saw me punch a detective like that.

But no really, Rin just. Stops cleaning up the mess Rinkou has made. He doesn't look up to Allen, but instead looks to Rinkou. The feisty mess still tearing shit up out of some negative emotion.
Rin sighs, and sets down the cloth to pat her head.]

on the other hand, Rowan starting to use her beak to tug at Allen's hair, as if making an attempt at cleaning the white mess of fluff. which only makes him think of another winged thing that would mess with his hair like this and--suddenly, his hand is shoving the corvid off his shoulder with her giving out a loud squawk.]
Mm, there's that, at least. These guys have turned up.
[Rowan is resuming the preening behavior and Allen is currently being looked at which means he can't just grab the corvid and throw her across the room or something.]
