[You know, close enough. And his dorm building is close enough too, so Rin will nod and start off in that direction. He just expects Rupert to follow after him, apparently?
They do have to walk up some stairs but eventually they'll end up at one of the many old dorm buildings around campus. This one seems in good condition, but not in use? There's no students coming and going from it like the other buildings have.]
[he's wandering around exploring the new areas, and while he's tried to stay apart from people once he's realized what's going on - he's intent enough on where he's going that he gets too close to rin by accident, and stardust surrounds the two of them.

But yeah in the space of time between when Rin escapes his CYOA and when curfew happens, Rupert can happen across Rin when he's struggling with doing his laundry one-handed. His other arm is in a makeshift sling so it's a bit useless right now unfortunately.]
