[Because they sure got stolen last game...time to use a sword as a knife again. Except he doesn't have his sword back yet whoops.

But here they are! Kitchen!]

I'm sure they're long gone at this point, but we can see.

[ kaeya will accompany him to the kitchen, hands behind his back as he peers around. occasionally, he'll peek into a cabinet here and there, though. ]

We can make it all work regardless.

I got in trouble the last time I used my sword for a knife.

[Rin is going to have to go for things that don't use knives though! So he gathers up some flour, eggs, sugar, baking powder, butter, and milk.]

Your sword deserves better than that, though points for utilizing what you have. We do have straight razors. Those are easily cleaned and sharpened...


[ but as rin is gathering ingredients, he tilts his head now at attention. ]

w0, sunday

[ kaeya's going to be making his way downtown to find rin's room, and in tow he has one (1) polaris who is trotting beside him, tail wagging and tongue lolling out of his mouth. he will give rin's door a shave-and-a-haircut knock and wait patiently. ]

[It takes a few moments, but Rin will make his way to the door. He opens it carefully and peers out, and for a moment he looks kind of downtrodden but then he sees it's Kaeya and perks right up.]

Oh hey, you found Polaris! I've got Rinkou now too.

[callalilies]

It feels good to be reunited with them, even if we can't quite feel them the same anymore.

[ he does inquire: ] Everything alright? Any trouble?

[aono]

[He hesitates there, like he's not sure if he should say something or not. The discomfort is very visible in both his posture and the way he glances away when Kaeya asks if everything is okay.]

Well the rooms are kinda...it's a small thing though, so it's not that big of a deal. I'm just glad to have Rinkou back.

w0, saturday — post-trial

[ kaeya's just in his room with the door ajar already, enough to poke a head in. he's flopped on the floor by the couch on top of polaris, who is just also flopped down there. they are just. a pile. ]

[Rin has Rinkou tucked under one arm like a football and is carrying a plate of food in the other.

He's going to walk right in and plop down next to Kaeya. Rinkou gets set down by Polaris before Rin speaks.]

Hungry?

[callalilies]

[ football........ im crying maple.

polaris takes to rinkou easily, leaning over to sniff her a few times before giving her head a few gentle licks. ]

I could eat. What do we have?

[ he pulls down a couple of pillows to prop themselves up on. ]

[aono]

[Rinkou is smaller but she will try to return the licks. Friendship grooming!

Rin will show off the plate to Kaeya once he's settled on a pillow.]

It's bao! I learned how to make it while I was in the Ghost City.

w2, thursday

here they are in the restaurant with a poor, headachey rin. ]

You at least have fun last night?

[Rin has his head on the table, and he is making a long 'urghhhhh' noise. Hangovers suck.]

I hate beer.

[He did have fun, but he's a big baby.]

[ aw what a baby indeed. kaeya is peeking through the menu, ordering a few things that should help—a bit of protein and... ]

Coffee or tea? Or orange juice?

[ pushing a glass of water forward first. ]

[He will take that water, thanks.]

What stops the hurting fastest?

Week 3, Monday

[I'm not going to immediately throw memories at you, but instead Rin is coming over to Kaeya's door at ass-o-clock to knock on it and wake Kaeya up if he's not already awake. It's not actually THAT early, maybe 8am or so, but still.]

Hey, c'mon! There's new stuff to see!

[ that's perf ♥ kaeya will open his door looking just a little extra sleepy today, rubbing at his eye. polaris, of course, is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, darting to rin immediately and jumping up. new week! new week! new week! ]

Hah, good morning to you too, Rin. Where're we today? Did you have a look already?

[Polaris! Rin will hold out his arms to catch Polaris at that jump Rinkou is riding on his shoulder and bats at Polaris playfully too.]

I did! it's some big school, I think? I was in a building full of classrooms. But I didn't look at the new floor here yet either, so we've got choices.

Week 3, Saturday

[What a contrast to earlier in the week, huh?

Rin does go looking for Kaeya, but it's long after the other group talk, and long after he goes and talks to other people. It's getting late, but he can't sleep. So he's going to track down Kaeya to talk to him. Where be Kaeya?]

[ what a crazy trial.

kaeya's mostly given rin his space, but there's a sense of knowing this will have be met somewhere in the middle. so he's in his room, the doorway ajar. polaris is resting by it, so he's the first to lift his head when rin is looking for him.

when polaris moves, kaeya does as well, peering from where he's sat on the couch. ]

Rin...

[Rin looks really, really tired. This trial was so much, and learning that no matter what he was probably going to lose someone important to him- because fuck they were not anywhere near an answer with Aikawa's case- has really taken its toll on him. Rin has a big heart and trials are always rough for him, but this one is hitting him hard.

Still, he's here, and he's trying to keep his voice steady as he speaks.]

Do you remember what you said? Back when we got here?

Week 4, Wednesday

[Because Kaeya DIED SO RUDELY >T he gets a PC from before CYOA madness so Rin and Kaeya can do stuff.]

Kaeyaaaaaa! I wanna do stuff but everyone's saying not to go to the special location this week.

[Block the baby from the station, he can go through a door instead.]

Yes, we definitely shouldn't go there without a staff member to perhaps portal us straight to one of the safer areas, but. There's plenty for us to do, right? We've got the spirit of adventure.

How about one of the odd doors in the hall? We'd be helping out the others by seeing what's inside at least one of them.

Sure, I guess. I never really figured out the points to these doors though.

[Got a preference on one? Otherwise Rin will pick one at random.]
