Post-Chasma threads

This is a containment zone for all things post-Chasma. Poke me if you want me to write a starter, but you can drop a starter here if you want!

Rin will be hopping to several worlds, so you can assume he either went to your character's world or he happens to be at home when your character comes to visit. Also I don't mind doing threads a few years out too!

Anything more than 6-ish months post-Chasma and Rin will have his black hair again.

[Oh, how time flies. There never seems to be enough of it, no matter how much you try to do everything there's always something left undone.

The familiar coin Rin carries with him faithfully has started to show signs of wear by the time he steps out of a portal in front of a particular shrine. The once fresh-cast sides have started to round, familiar grooves becoming slightly flatter. Still recognizable to someone who touches the coin constantly, but it's a reminder of how long he's been traveling.

The simple silver chain around his neck is another heavy reminder of the passage of time, but that one stays hidden under his clothes and out of sight for now.

Rin himself is older. Not as old as he should be, but he's definitely grown beyond the scruffy teenager from all those years ago. This Rin could be mistaken for someone in their mid-20s, young but no longer a child. Taller, more filled out, still carrying his sword on his back but now it's with a confidence he lacked as a teenager. His black hair is still a mess though, that certainly hasn't changed. He resembles his younger self just enough that he's still recognizable as 'Rin Okumura' too. The scars around his eyes, on his forehead, and on his hands have faded with time, but they're still there if you look closely enough. There's no mistaking who he is, it's just a question of how many years have passed.

Rin inspects the worn temple, tapping lightly at the wood gates to test its strength. It seems...well, if Xie Lian were to live anywhere, then this would fit him. That's probably the nicest way to put it. Rin ends up snickering to himself as he steps in and starts to wander the temple grounds.

Xie Lian might be able to feel the presence before seeing Rin. There is something unmistakably demonic about his power, though the sensation might be familiar enough for Xie Lian to recognize who it is. After all, he spent weeks with Rin, helping him test out his powers and learn how to control them. The warmth from them may be familiar. And failing that, Rin's voice- a bit deeper, showing how much he has grown- might be enough to jog a memory or two.]

Oiii! Anybody home?

[He says this while knocking on the wooden gate he just stepped past. Might as well announce his presence and everything. As fun as it would be to startle Xie Lian, he doesn't know how much stronger the god has grown and doesn't want to end up with a sword in his side on accident or something.]
