I can talk and stitch at the same time! I've only got red thread on me, though, so if you want another color you'll have to grab that from somewhere.

I'd rather have red thread there to remind me that you're the one who fixed it up for me.

[He does run off to get his suit though! It's the one he wore for the first three weeks, which has the mangled right sleeve from getting gnawed on by a monster.]

I showed Akira how to sew a while back. Maybe you can bug him to teach you sometime. Keep him on his toes so he doesn't forget.

Yeah, a giant snake got me. And some other stuff. But it turned out alright in the end.

[Ish. That was the incident that led to his sword breaking, after all.]

I could ask him, yeah. I know some housework-stuff, but sewing isn't one I picked up yet.

What was the deal with the snake anyway? Was it the same one whose skeleton was in the middle of town?

Maybe? It was big enough to be that snake, yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up in the past of that world.

Yeah, I heard some talk about going to the past on some of those trips. Was it trying to protect that area? The people there called it their guardian, right?

I think so, yeah. Maybe that's why the town was an oasis in the future.

[burnstrike]

Yeah, maybe it was able to make it into one. The oasis my town was built around formed really suddenly when the land in the sky came crashing down... don't know if the snake was big enough to make that same kind of impact, but it might've been.

[ it is deeply ironic that she's dying on a floating island, actually. ]

Yeah, that might be it. Fighting it was pretty brutal, and it was in a garden too so there was plenty of seeds left to grow into the oasis afterwards.
