Week 1, post-trial

[Rin is! Carrying food! It's nothing special, just some corn that has been warmed up and put into a bowl. Also he's using the weekly effect to keep the bowl warm as he runs around looking for Akira.]

Oi, Akira!

[Where might he be?]

[ Rin won't actually have to look terribly far but he does need to look up! Akira is hanging out on one of the roofs of the dilapidated buildings, hood up like the broody delinquent he is.

He debates not answering, but after a moment: ]

What.

[aono]

[Wow! That's a familiar sight! Usually it's Rin up on the roof like a broody delinquent though.]

Why're you up there?

[Ask a stupid question...]

[bloodread]

[ Dripping with sarcasm. ]

I like the view.

[aono]

Oh.

[Is he taking that as a legit answer? Who knows! But now he's trying to balance the bowl of corn in one hand while trying to scale the building with his other.

...give him a moment, it's slow going. And he's cursing as he goes too.]

[ Akira stares during all of this but does not move away. ]

You do this often?

Often enough.

[Somehow he manages to slowly climb up without spilling any corn. It's a Christmas miracle (in October).

Soon he's seated on the roof next to Akira.]

...guess the view up here is okay, yeah.

[ There's a glance as Rin settles in, Akira completely ignoring both his words and feat in not spilling any corn. ]

Dad always said that, when you get in a fight, you have to go back and try to make things right later.

[This is probably a preamble to an apology of some sort, but Rin hasn't gotten there yet.]

[ Akira mumbles something but it's not intelligible. ]

I don't need an apology. [ The tone isn't overly frigid, so it's less of a dismissal than it could be. ]

[If only he still had his demon super-healing!]

You don't need one, yeah. But it's still the right thing to do.

...whatever makes you feel better. [ He is perhaps a little worn out after everything. ]

Right doesn't matter in most places, like here.

What would really make me feel better is being able to cook actual food for people to make sure they don't go hungry.

[But all he has is corn. Speaking of which.]

Didja eat something yet?

...no. [ Okay he's looking over into the bowl. ]

Corn?

Yeah. It's all we had left.

[He fukken. Holds out the bowl to Akira. Like Akira is going to eat a wholeass bowl of corn.]

Better than chicken in a can. [ He actually takes the bowl and assuming Rin brought utensils he will totally just start to eat the corn. Success?!? ]
