I would've been so sad!! That's not fair, we didn't get the animal companions the village got either. Boo! The universal graveyards should have fuzzy rights!!!
Well they're a part of our souls, and when people died they kinda just turned into golden dust and blew away with the wind.

But everyone got them back in the end! So it's alright. Yukio's got stuck as a gator though, now he has to carry Miki around in a baby carrier if he needs to travel fast.
