Week 2, Monday

[Hey Estelle. Ever wonder what Rin would look like with more demonic features? Because wow his ears and fangs are way bugger suddenly, and his fingers look more like claws, and his eyes look slitted instead of round like a human's.

Rin is just standing there btw, he's looking through the options for lunch at the restaurant. But his appearance is Different for now.]

[Estelle, on the opposite end of the scary-spectrum, has a pair of white bunny ears sticking out of the top of her head. Her eyes widen for a moment when she sees him, and she has to remind herself that actually, that's a familiar face.]

Rin, right? [She offers a smile in greeting.] Would you like some company for lunch?

[They haven't talked much before, but there's no reason that can't change now, right?]

[Rin blinks and looks up. He's a little surprised that someone would join him, but he's not unreceptive to it. Just a little unsure.]

You mean it? I mean, I'm not too scary-looking?

[He would like the company, yes.]

[mustbepurged]

[She shakes her head.] Not at all! [Hopefully he didn't see her initial reaction, but...]

Food tastes better when you eat it with other people, after all.

[Aww, something about hearing that makes Rin smile a warm smile.]

You know, you're right about that. C'mon, let's find something to eat.

[mustbepurged]

[She finds a seat for both of them and takes a look at the menu, soon deciding on some pasta with a creamy sauce, with a nonalcoholic cocktail.]

Come to think of it... Rin, you can cook, right? What kind of food do you like to make?

[Rin goes for a borger, because of course he does.]

Well I can make a lot of stuff, but my favorite? I dunno...I kinda just like cooking for other people, so I guess my 'favorite' is whatever someone else wants to eat.

Really?

I guess the best part is getting to enjoy a meal with friends...

Yeah! Sharing food with friends is always the best, it beats eating alone.

I only just started learning how to cook recently... It's challenging, but it's fun. I have a lot of respect for people who are good at it.

Week 4, Friday

[mustbepurged]

[Estelle's sitting in the courtyard, holding a flower in her hands. Her eyes are red -- it's clear that she's been crying. She looks up when she sees Rin nearby.]

Oh, Rin... Would you like to sit?

[There's room next to her on the bench.]

[Honestly she's valid. Rin's eyes are red too.]

Yeah, okay.

[He'll step over and sit down next to her, wincing a little as he sits. His leg still hurts.]

[mustbepurged]

[Noticing that wince seems to pull her out of the haze she's in, looking to his leg with concern.]

You were hurt yesterday... Are you all right?

I'm better. Sebastian did a task for me.

[He still needs to think of a way to thank him for that.]

[mustbepurged]

Good...

[Her gaze drifts to the flowers.]

Were you close with them?

[aono]

...yeah. I got along with Rupert, and Kaeya...

[...]

He's a pretty amazing person, you know?

[mustbepurged]

Kaeya, you mean?

[aono]

Rupert's pretty cool too, but I know Kaeya better.

[mustbepurged]

They're both very dear friends to me.

But... I agree, he is amazing.

Week 4, Sunday

[What a day.

Rin seems a bit listless as he goes about the hotel, but he'll perk up a bit when he sees Estelle.]

Oh, hey. You doing alright?

[mustbepurged]

[Estelle's a bit sluggish in the way she walks -- it's not too hard to guess that she's sore from yesterday.]

Oh, Rin! I'm... I'm all right. This weekend was hard, but...

[... Come to think of it, between his injuries from Thursday and everything that happened at the trial... Rin's probably the one who's worse off here.]

... I should probably be asking you. Are you all right?

Who, me? Yeah, I'm fine. Nothing can keep me down.

[He does look better today, even if he was a physical mess on Thursday and an emotional mess on Saturday.]

But you look like you're still having trouble, you need a hand?

[mustbepurged]

[She looks heartened at that.]

Good...

I think I'm okay, but I wouldn't mind sitting... Maybe we could get lunch together?

[He's not exactly hungry, but.]

Yeah, let's get some lunch.

[Food with friends is better than food alone, after all. And he really does need to eat.]

Ever had a burrito before?

No, what's that?

[They can walk to the restaurant.

And despite what she said about not needing help, it's affection week, so she puts a hand on his shoulder to keep herself steady as they go.]
