Mm, like I said, I don't totally understand her, and I don't know if she really wants anyone to try. There's a reason why she's the way she is, but you'd have to hear that from her, if she wants you to know.
All I can tell you is that she had plenty of reasons to be happy where she was before this, and now she's here instead. If she's angry now, I think that's totally valid, all things considered.

I don't know if I can just leave her there though. Learning to understand people is kinda my thing, yeah? If someone's acting weird or hurting people, it's always for a reason. And I just wanna find that reason and try to stop them from hurting.
I know what you mean. It's the same for me, but every time I've tried, she gets more upset. I think she just needs somewhere to lash out, sometimes. It's just a matter of whether she can do that without hurting someone, or herself.

Last time, when people kept dying, the way we stopped it was by coming to understand each other. It was an outside force making most of us kill, and once we banded together as a group everything was...well okay, still a little rocky, but it was better. And we managed to win against the god that was making us kill each other in the first place. I don't know if that'll work here too, but I really wanna believe it will. Everyone wants to be understood, you know? Even someone who's killed someone else.
That's kind of similar to how it was for us, too - like, there wasn't a god or anything involved, but it wasn't like anyone who started refracting was in their right mind, either. Once we figured that out, it got easier to find them and help them.
...Try not to push Maririn too hard though, okay? She should be allowed to rest sometimes, too, even if she or Wicked are really angry.
With us we were on two teams, and this god was trying to use the two sides to solve an argument, but they wanted us to kill the other team to solve the argument. So sometimes people got targeted and forced to kill for it.

But regardless of if it's a god or 'refracting' or whatever, the point is that most people don't just choose to kill because they want to. And even if someone kills, they deserve to be helped too.
I'll try not to push either of them too hard though. I gotta share a bathroom with them, so I don't wanna make it too weird.
I think so, too. There's always a reason that someone kills in these places, and now... now, there are other people in danger than just us. [ the hostages. ] It's not fair to write someone off because they were trying to help another person that they care about, no matter what happens.
