I look like your teacher or something? Not here to talk about how everyone loses their shit during trials.

[So he relaxes a bit, and he steps aside so Cloud can come into his room.

Rin's room is structured like a dorm room. He's got a neat cubby-bed with a roll-down screen which is currently a mess of pillow and blankets since he doesn't make his bed. The standing wood closet at the back of the room is mostly-empty right now, since Rin's dirty clothes are in a pile on the ground nearby, waiting for a chance for him to do laundry. On his plain desk is a stack of shoujo manga he got from the library, as well as a couple dirty plates and cups. There is also a blue bean bag chair on the floor, which looks like its normally a bed for a small wolverine given how much hair is on it but it's currently unoccupied, as Rinkou is laying on Rin's bed right now.

The most notable feature, however, is that the room is just like a dorm room. Meaning there is a second set of everything, mirrored in setup to how Rin's side is set up. This side is completely lacking in anything personal though: no clothes, no bedding, nothing. In fact, it looks like it's been left largely untouched, with Rin keeping everything on his side of the room.]

[ hmmm. twin room. he looks around and doesn't bother trying to sit anywhere, just crossing his arms ]

Everyone's got their biases. [ it's idle as he looks around ] Can't blame you for yours anymore than any others.

You say that, but I'm the one who's been trying to make friends with everyone while hidin' that I knew who a killer was for weeks now.

[ blunt. ]

No, he told me after. The only thing I knew for sure at the trial was that I hadn't done it.

[Rin does not have enough braincells to solve cases like that. He only caught on to Kazu because it was REALLY obvious based on how Kazu was acting.]

If I'd have known, I would've called him out at trial. We didn't know that shadows leave people after trial then, I thought we had to vote the killer out to get the shadow out of them.

Sharing he did it after doesn't do shit. Won't unscapegoat Bucky. At best, what? We got a back up body to make ourselves feel better if we don't solve a murder in time? There's no higher moral ground here, kid. For anyone.

Well no, it wouldn't have helped Bucky. But that's how I knew Diluc for-sure didn't kill Kaeya: he's already killed, and the guy running this shitty show already said multiple kills were boring. But I didn't say shit and we wasted so much time on if he was the killer or not.

We wasted fifteen minutes at best.

[ he continues. to be blunt. ]

I'm not going to say it wasn't a waste of time. Maybe it would've helped, maybe it wouldn't have. But let's be honest: we didn't have jack of a lead on Kaeya. "Someone who used a sword"? Great. That's over half the people left possible.
