Still, Rin is going to go looking for Cloud, since that trial had to be especially hard on him. For a lot of reasons. So wherever Cloud is, Rin will come over to bother him.]

Nope. Item I got in our little adventure didn't do that, and that's the only one I got.

Maybe. I've heard of ways to save people from roles like that, but... never after they've already been killed.
